Safety First 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Features Keep You in Control

2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Features

There is simply no other SUV on the road like the powerful, fuel-efficient, and spacious new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. A rearview camera, Active Stability Control System, and one of the industry’s best warranties are just a few of the many features on the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport that elevate it above its competitors.

Rearview Camera

Once you drive with a rearview camera, you will wonder how you ever survived without it. This camera activates as soon as you shift into reverse, making it safe and easy to back down driveways, pull out of a parking spot, and much more.

Active Stability Control

The Active Stability Control system utilizes sensors to decrease your likelihood of slipping or losing contact with the road in any way; it monitors the grip of each tire and if one of your wheels begins to slip, the system enacts the Anti-lock Braking System.

Excellent Warranty

Finally, in the unlikely event that something goes wrong and the vehicle fails in almost anyway, you will be covered by a top-notch warranty that has your back for either 10 years or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first.

The Outlander Sport update includes a more powerful engine plus packages.

The Outlander is far and away Mitsubishi’s most successful model in its lineup, but rather than rest on its laurels, the automaker is constantly trying to improve it.

For the 2015 model year, Mitsubishi is introducing an even more powerful version of the Outlander Sport five-passenger crossover. The 2.0-liter engine will be replaced by a larger, 2.4-liter MIVEC four-cylinder producing 168 horsepower, up 20 hp.

The Outlander Sport update also includes a black center bumper to visually differentiate itself from the standard trim levels. The 2.4 GT trim will feature a similar design change in addition to black roof rails, outside mirrors with LED turn indicators, and interior amenities like a power driver’s seat, leather-wrapped parking brake handle, and aluminum pedals.

Mitsubishi will also offer a Premium Package and Touring Package to further enhance the Outlander Sport 2.4 GT model. For more details, check out the official press release, or just visit Randall Mitsubishi!

“Thanks to our advanced high-tech engineering and safety features, the Mitsubishi Lancer, Outlander, and Outlander Sport have consistently achieved high IIHS safety ratings,” said Don Swearingen, Executive Vice President of Mitsubishi Motors North America. “The Mitsubishi RISE safety body construction system is the perfect example of this kind of technology.
