Before the kids head back to school, spend some time together during Family Fun Month. You don’t even have to go far from home. There is a lot to do this month right here in San Angelo, Texas.
- Art Thursday. Every Thursday at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, there are two art projects you can try for free. These projects include clay, watercolor, and more. Drop in anytime between 3 and 6pm.
- Family Day at the Museum. On Saturday, August 13th, head to the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts. The whole family can enjoy the museum’s entire collection for free. There will even be live music, hands-on projects, and free food samples with cooking demonstrations.
- The Beach Boys. Hear this iconic group perform live on August 24th at 7:30pm at the Foster Communications Coliseum.
- Brisket Sale. If you love beef brisket and supporting good causes, the East Angelo Lions club is holding its annual Brisket Sale August 26th and 27th at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Briskets are sold for $8.75 a pound. Proceeds will fund projects to help less fortunate families in our area. Buy a brisket and host one last family cookout before the summer comes to a close.
