Fall Performances at the San Angelo PAC

San Angelo PAC

The San Angelo PAC is the central hub of performing arts in the San Angelo area. The campus includes an adapted Coca-Cola bottling plant building that is home to the Brooks & Bates Theater and a Black Box Performance Space. Today, it stands as the central hub for the performing arts in the San Angelo area.

Get away from the chilly fall weather by taking in a performance of some of the most renowned plays around. Here are some of the fantastic shows that will be arriving at the San Angelo PAC in the coming months!

Journey to Oz

San Angelo PACWritten by L. Frank Baum, Journey to Oz is a remarked adaptation where Dorothy of The Wizard of Oz ventures to the land of the yellow brick road. Professional actors put on the show with a little help from the audience! Audience members will participate in call and response, songs, and sound effects that bring the play to life for all to enjoy. Catch a performance on September 18th and 19th.

Forbidden Broadway

Comedy knows fewer bounds than Forbidden Broadway. The satirical roast pokes fun of some of Broadway’s most famous works, including Hamilton. Laugh the night away on October 16th and 17th by catching a live show.

Vienna Boys Choir

The Vienna Boys Choir is a staple of the musical world. The world-renowned ensemble is one of the finest in the world and it’s coming to San Angelo PAC on November 1st. Grab your tickets and sit down for a musical experience you won’t soon forget.

2017 Cinch Roping Fiesta in San Angelo

2017 Cinch Roping Fiesta

This September, the 2017 Cinch Roping Fiesta will make its way to San Angelo. It offers multiple roping events to suit a variety of skill levels. The first, a Preliminary Calf Roping, is open to 120 ropers and consists of two rounds. The top 12 ropers will make their way to the short-go round.

Invitational Calf Roping kicks off on Saturday of the event, rain or shine. Some of the world’s top ranked ropers will face off against the region’s finest ropers.

2017 Cinch Roping FiestaMatch Roping takes place at the Invitational Calf Roping and features two contestants binding six calves. The winner takes home a $20,000 prize.

Invitational Steering Roping engages the nation’s top competitors in a head-to-head battle. Double Mugging, held with the Steer Roping on Sunday, involves two mounted ropers trying to best a yearling.

The San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association is the proud sponsor of the 2017 Cinch Roping Fiesta. Founded in 1932, this non-profit organization has helped foster the western way of life and the agricultural education of young Texans. The association works hard to bring the best events to the West Texas area.
