Mitsubishi Wins Seven Automotive Performance Index Awards in 2017

2017 Mitsubishi Mirage

The Mirage topped several categories.

Over the years, Mitsubishi has established itself as one of the premier automakers on the market. With its reliability, innovation, and excellent customer service, the reputation is well-deserved. Although it’s still early in the year, Mitsubishi has already won several prestigious awards.

Every year, the Automotive Science Group combs through hundreds of vehicles to find which ones really separate themselves from the pack. They base their assessment on things like the car’s environmental, economic, and all-around performance.

The environmental section looks at each vehicle’s life-cycle carbon footprint from the beginning of the vehicle to the end. The economic section looks at each vehicle’s cost of ownership while the all-around performance section takes into account everything from environmental and economic impact to the social impact of manufacturing the vehicles.

After careful review, Mitsubishi was the winner in the following categories:

● Best All-Around Performance Brand of 2017
● Best Economic Performance Brand of 2017
● Best Economic Performance Car of 2017: Mitsubishi Mirage
● Best All-Around Performance (Compact Cars): Mitsubishi Mirage
● Best Economic Performance (Compact Cars): Mitsubishi Mirage
● Best 5 All-Around Performance (Compact Crossovers): Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
● Best All-Around Performance (Crossovers): Mitsubishi Outlander

2017 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Gets Upgraded Tech Package

As the best-selling plug-in hybrid in the UK, drivers in the United States are starting to get excited about the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Although already best-selling in the UK, Mitsubishi has been constantly working on improving the vehicle before its American launch.

The recent technology updates apply specifically to the top-of-the-line Juro trim. The main addition to this trim is a variety of safety features. Drivers will now have access to a rearview camera that allows them to see everything that’s behind them. Also, there will now be an electronic parking brake with an automatic brake hold. This addition allows drivers to release the pedal in traffic or while stationary on a hill.

In addition, the new Outlander PHEV will now feature a Smartphone Link Display Audio System. This new technology allows drivers to control their infotainment system without ever taking their eyes off of the road. All that you need to do is tell your system what you want to access and the technology takes care of the rest.
