The Outlander is far and away Mitsubishi’s most successful model in its lineup, but rather than rest on its laurels, the automaker is constantly trying to improve it.
For the 2015 model year, Mitsubishi is introducing an even more powerful version of the Outlander Sport five-passenger crossover. The 2.0-liter engine will be replaced by a larger, 2.4-liter MIVEC four-cylinder producing 168 horsepower, up 20 hp.
The Outlander Sport update also includes a black center bumper to visually differentiate itself from the standard trim levels. The 2.4 GT trim will feature a similar design change in addition to black roof rails, outside mirrors with LED turn indicators, and interior amenities like a power driver’s seat, leather-wrapped parking brake handle, and aluminum pedals.
Mitsubishi will also offer a Premium Package and Touring Package to further enhance the Outlander Sport 2.4 GT model. For more details, check out the official press release, or just visit Randall Mitsubishi!
